Fire Ring Installation Guide
Fittings can be installed with holes in the up or downward position.
Recommended
Use yellow Teflon (Gas Tape) on all fitting threads; do not screw into center tube more than 1/4″ to plug one end.
When igniting fire ring, turn gas valve approximately 1/4 turn, then adjust to desired flame.
Use Lava rock, Vermiculite or other approved fire retardant fireplace materials.
Not Recommended
For indoor applications- Improper ventilation use may cause fire hazard
Silicon Sand (bleach sand) when exposed to water and ash over time may become hardened and clog gas outlet holes, whether installed upright or downward
River ricks (granite), when exposed to extreme heat may build up internal water vapor expansion and cause rocks to explode.
