In 1954 with a $300 loan and a passion for creating art from iron, Joe Lehrer bought an old anvil, vise and welder and started Lehrer Metal Products. After setting up shop across the street from the old family homestead, Denver’s locals started coming to the 4th generation Coloradoan for custom Fireplace screens and accessories and wrought iron furniture. Joe knew he had found his niche. Lehrer Fireplace and Patio was born.
Today many of Joe’s beautiful iron creations still grace the homes of some of Denver’s older neighborhoods. The Lehrer family tradition is still carried on with the same passion for excellence by sons Keith and Ken and daughter Linda.
